Dr Maha Aljefri completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at the University of Bristol, and gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Ed). She then worked in various settings including NHS hospitals in oral and maxillofacial surgery, managing head and neck trauma and caring for surgical inpatients, as well as working in private practice.
Dr Maha then pursued a career in Orthodontics attending a three-year postgraduate masters programme (MSc) at Kings College London, passing with distinction. During this time she treated complex cases and carried out a research project on interproximal reduction in Orthodontics, an alternative method to dental extractions for space creation.
She then gained her bi-collegiate specialist membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in England (MOrth RCS Eng). Dr Maha is also an educator, having completed a postgraduate certificate in dental education (PgCert Dent Ed) to support her passion for teaching and training within the field of dentistry.
Dr Maha enjoys traveling and horse riding during her leisure time. Having grown up in the Middle East, she takes pride in her contributions to advancing opportunities for women in sports throughout the region.

How are appointments and progress monitored?
Reviews are set around your appliance and progress. Dr Maha oversees each stage and uses digital tools when they add value. Remote check-ins are available at some locations to reduce visits.

Removable retainers included with all treatments and a 1 year guarantee on retainers. Refinements included with comprehensive treatments when clinically necessary. Do you treat children and can you accommodate busy schedules?
Yes. Children, teens and adults are welcome. After-school appointments are available in Leicester and Corby, and you can switch between those clinics if needed.
